2. very near in time; likely to happen soon(指时间)临近的,即要发生的:

【可分性动词短语】write (a piece of information or statement) down 将……写下或记下:

refresh one’s memory

remind oneself / sb of facts by referring to notes, etc.(借助笔记等)使自己(某人)想起:

e.g. In the middle of his speech he had torefresh his memoyby looking at his notes.

在发言当中,他不得不借助看笔记来想起讲稿内容。

I looked the word up in the dictionary torefresh my memoryof its exact meaning.

我在词典里查了这个单词,以便想起它的确切意义。

promote v.

to help sth to happen or develop促进;推动

e.g. to promote a product

为一件产品做宣传

to promote awareness of environmental issues

宣传环保意识

【不可分性动词短语】exist in; be found in在于:(用一般时态)

hand in vt.

【可分性动词短语】submit (sth) by hand交上,呈交:(常用一般时态,表示呈交对象时用介词to)

e.g. 离开宾馆时请把钥匙交上来。

你交申请表了吗?

turn in vt.

【可分性动词短语】give (a completed piece of work, especially written work) to the person who has officially asked for it or who is in charge交上:(主要用于美国英语中)

e.g. 孩子们,请把你们的作业都交上来。

Turn inyour homework, please, children.

I want everybody toturna reportinbefore Friday.

我要你们每个人在星期五之前都交上一份报告。

其同义短语是hand in,用法亦相同。

1. about to obtain sth; in the course of becoming sth正在获得;正在成为:

2. moving or travelling towards (a place)在去……的 路上:

speak up vi.

1. give one’s opinion freely and clearly畅所欲言,清楚地表明(意见等):(其后常接for或against短语) e.g. At the meeting, Johnspoke upfor/against letting girls join the club.

在会议上,约翰直言支持/反对让女孩子加入俱乐部。

2. speak in a loud, clear voice, so that one can be heard大声地说:(常用于祈使句中)

e.g. 你得大点声说!后面的人听不见你的话。

学生每人用四线英语本抄写para5,拍照发到学习通;按每份收到的小花多少来评选最漂亮书写奖。

5.思政内容引入—— 主题讨论1(高效时间管理=好成绩=美好生活)

学习和努力做到高效管理时间,好成绩并不是遥不可及的;在你有更多的时间去充实自己的时候,你会发现高远的理想也能实现,美好生活全部是由自己双手创造的。

Time management is the act of someone planning or organizing their time between different activities to maximize their effectiveness. Those who can practice good time management skills get more done in less time.

Time management is important because it is a direct counter to procrastination. Procrastination is the act of waiting until there is a short period of time to get something done. Lacking time management and being a procrastinator can cause someone to complete a task in a lackluster way. The benefits of efficiently managing someone's time include increased productivity, less stress and anxiety, and the realization of goals.

Increased productivity is the ability to get a significant end result out without putting as much in. Increased productivity at someone's job can lead to promotions or other advancement opportunities.
